A categoria de realização é uma surpresa completa; só dois dos nomeados coincidem com as nomeações da DGA. O número de nomeações de Amour também surpreende: só o tinha em três categorias, filme estrangeiro, actriz e argumento. Fico muito, muito contente por Amour, provavelmente o melhor filme de 2012. Lincoln e Silver Linings acabam de se colocar à frente da corrida, com a ausência de Affleck e Bigelow em realização.
